We now average 16.4 large scale events per year in workplaces and schools. During this session, we’ll teach your employees what they need to know about active shooter events. They’ll learn the basic history of these events and where the greatest risks are identified. Attendees will learn national best practices from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, considerations for emergency planning, and how to prepare for response to an active shooter event. The session will culminate with participants taking part in a simulated active shooter event in order for them to visualize the skills discussed in the training.
This course focuses solely on the response to an active shooter event. If your business is interested in taking proactive steps to preventing workplace violence, contact the NDSC at 701-223-6372 to speak with our Community Protection Program Manager.
