The Confined Spaces Awareness Training is designed to help you understand the duties and responsibilities of the employer and employee. The course will help you identify hazards involved with permit required confined spaces, how to protect employees from hazards and key elements of the General Industry Confined Spaces standard issued by OSHA. This includes defining the differences between work spaces, Confined Spaces, and Permit Required Confined Spaces. It also covers a review of the regulation, including the need for a written program, how to develop proper documentation, rescue planning and execution, atmospheric testing of the spaces, the importance of training, and roles of the supervisor, attendant, and entrant.
