Course Information
Under OSHA regulation, workers have the right-to-know about the hazards and identities of the chemicals they are exposed to in the workplace. When employees have this information, they may effectively participate in their employers' protective programs and take steps to protect themselves. This training program will help to ensure that attendees have the comprehension and understanding of chemical safety in the workplace. This will be accomplished through an in depth review of the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard; an explanation of GHS; a guided hands-on activity on how to read a Safety Data Sheets and labels; and how to detect, identify and protect life and health from hazardous chemicals.
