Course Information
An affordable, convenient way to learn lifesaving skills at your own pace 24/7 from any computer with an internet connection. Online course content covers all elements in our Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED program and follows the most recent American Heart Association guidelines and OSHA standards. Course content is applicable for industrial, office, and home settings. A bookmark feature allows you to save your place in the program when needed, then come back later to finish. This online program is an excellent refresher tool. To receive a course certificate, students must be tested by a North Dakota Safety Council Skills Tester. Skills tested include CPR competency, choking care and bleeding control.
Skills Testing: Once you've taken and completed the online CPR/AED/First Aid course you must get skills tested to receive a certificate. You may be required to travel to the city closest to you when and where an NDSC instructor is available to test your skills in person. Upon completion of the skills testing, receive an Adult 2-year CPR/AED certificate and 2-year First Aid certificate.
Skills testing is only available in the following locations: Bismarck, Dickinson, Minot, Fargo, Grand Forks and Williston. After you complete the online portion, contact the NDSC to set up your in-person skills test. Upon completion of the online portion, you will be required to print your passing certificate and bring that with you to your skills check.
This course does not qualify for most medical certifications. Please contact our First Aid Manager at (701) 223-6372 with questions.
